It is located at 38 Grace Court in Troy, and features 8 firing lanes equipped with turning targets used in rimfire and centerfire competitions. The primary purpose of the TPL is to encourage, promote and conduct indoor BullsEye Target Shooting in a well-organized environment, with particular emphasis on safety. The TPL conducts competitive Bullseye shooting for its members weekly from September to April each year, and participates in the Adirondack Foothills Pistol League. The TPL hosts, on an annual basis, the NRA Sectional Match and the NYS Indoor Conventional Championship Match, which draws highly experienced shooters from across the state. On Thursdays, new and potential TPL members will take part in non-competitive, informal relays designed to familiarize them with range commands and firing at targets during slow, timed and rapid fire exercises. Discussion sessions will be held between relays affording an opportunity for participants to ask questions in order to gain a better understanding and appreciation of Bullseye shooting and attendant safety rules.
